These Spinach and Feta Turkey Burgers combine lean ground turkey, fresh spinach, and tangy feta cheese for a juicy, flavorful burger that is both nutritious and satisfying. Perfect for quick weeknight dinners, meal prep, or summer cookouts.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion, or tzatziki sauce for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the spinach and mince the garlic.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, spinach, feta cheese, garlic, breadcrumbs, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Mix gently until evenly combined, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.
  5. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, or preheat a grill.
  6. Cook the patties for 5 to 6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Toast the hamburger buns if desired.
  8. Serve the burgers on buns with your preferred toppings and sauces.

Notes

  • Frozen spinach can be used if fully thawed and drained.
  • For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free breadcrumbs or omit them.
  • Store cooked burgers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
