Roasted Peaches are a simple and elegant dessert featuring tender, caramelized peaches roasted with butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Their warm, juicy flavor pairs beautifully with ice cream, yogurt, or whipped cream.

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh ripe peaches, halved and pitted
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Optional: vanilla ice cream
  • Optional: whipped cream
  • Optional: chopped nuts
  • Optional: granola
  • Optional: fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash the peaches, cut them in half, and remove the pits.
  3. Arrange the peach halves cut-side up in a baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Spoon or brush the mixture evenly over the peaches.
  6. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup if desired.
  7. Roast for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the peaches are tender and lightly caramelized.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly.
  9. Serve warm with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • Add a splash of bourbon or rum before roasting for deeper flavor.
  • Sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts over the peaches before baking.
  • Use nectarines instead of peaches for a slightly different taste.
  • Add a pinch of nutmeg or cardamom alongside the cinnamon.
  • Serve with Greek yogurt for a lighter dessert or breakfast option.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Freeze roasted peaches for up to 2 months and thaw before serving.
  • They can be enjoyed warm, chilled, or at room temperature.
