Pineapple Banana Fluff is a creamy, fruity, and refreshing no-bake dessert made with sweet pineapple, ripe bananas, fluffy whipped topping, and mini marshmallows. This easy make-ahead dessert is perfect for potlucks, picnics, holidays, and family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Crushed pineapple, with juice
  • Instant vanilla pudding mix
  • Whipped topping, thawed
  • Ripe bananas, sliced
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Sweetened shredded coconut (optional)
  • Chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • Maraschino cherries, halved (optional)
  • Plain Greek yogurt or sour cream (optional)
  • Vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed pineapple with its juice and the instant vanilla pudding mix. Stir until the pudding mix dissolves and begins to thicken.
  2. Fold in the whipped topping until smooth and creamy.
  3. If using, stir in the Greek yogurt or sour cream until fully incorporated.
  4. Add the mini marshmallows, shredded coconut, chopped nuts, and maraschino cherries if desired.
  5. Gently fold in the sliced bananas, being careful not to mash them.
  6. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours to allow the flavors to blend and the marshmallows to soften.
  7. Stir gently before serving and garnish with additional banana slices or cherries if desired.

Notes

  • Use canned crushed pineapple with its juice so the pudding mix thickens properly.
  • Toss banana slices with a little lemon juice to help prevent browning.
  • Stabilized homemade whipped cream can replace whipped topping.
  • For the freshest appearance, add bananas shortly before serving if making ahead.
  • Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Freezing is not recommended because the texture may change after thawing.
