Peanut Chicken Wraps are fresh, flavorful wraps filled with tender chicken, crisp vegetables, and a creamy homemade peanut sauce, all rolled in a soft tortilla. They’re perfect for quick lunches, easy dinners, or meal prep with a delicious balance of savory, sweet, tangy, and mildly spicy flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha or chili garlic sauce (optional)
  • 24 tablespoons warm water, as needed
  • 2 cooked boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded red cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped roasted peanuts
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and Sriracha if using.
  2. Add warm water a little at a time until the sauce reaches a smooth, pourable consistency.
  3. Warm the tortillas slightly to make them easier to roll.
  4. Lay each tortilla flat on a clean surface.
  5. Spread a generous spoonful of peanut sauce across the center of each tortilla.
  6. Layer the lettuce, red cabbage, carrots, cucumber, bell pepper, sliced chicken, cilantro, green onions, and chopped peanuts over the sauce.
  7. Drizzle with additional peanut sauce if desired.
  8. Fold the sides of each tortilla inward, then roll tightly from the bottom to form a wrap.
  9. Slice each wrap in half and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for a quick shortcut.
  • Substitute tofu, tempeh, or chickpeas for a vegetarian version.
  • Add avocado, bean sprouts, mango, or sesame seeds for extra flavor and texture.
  • Whole wheat, spinach, or gluten-free tortillas work well as alternatives.
  • Store the chicken, vegetables, tortillas, and peanut sauce separately in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • If the peanut sauce thickens during storage, stir in a little warm water before serving.
  • For extra heat, add more Sriracha, chili garlic sauce, or sliced jalapeños.
