Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon matcha powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until a dough forms.
  7. Fold in the white chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
  8. Scoop portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  9. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
