Mango Pudding is a smooth and creamy chilled dessert made with ripe mangoes, dairy, and gelatin for a silky texture. Refreshing, tropical, and easy to prepare, it’s a perfect make-ahead treat for warm days and special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1/2 cup fresh mango cubes for garnish

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice the mangoes, then blend them into a smooth puree.
  2. In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the water and allow it to bloom for several minutes.
  3. Gently heat the gelatin mixture until fully dissolved.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mango puree, evaporated milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract if using.
  5. Stir in the dissolved gelatin and mix thoroughly until smooth.
  6. Pour the mixture into serving cups, ramekins, or a large serving dish.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.
  8. Garnish with fresh mango cubes before serving.
  9. Serve chilled.

Notes

  • Substitute coconut milk for evaporated milk for a tropical variation.
  • Top with passion fruit pulp for extra tanginess.
  • Use agar-agar instead of gelatin for a vegetarian-friendly version.
  • Add small mango chunks to the mixture for additional texture.
  • Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Do not freeze, as the texture may become grainy and separate.
