Ingredients

  • 12 ounces macaroni pasta
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Cook macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  4. Stir in flour and cook for 1–2 minutes to form a roux.
  5. Gradually whisk in milk, stirring until smooth and thickened.
  6. Add cheddar and mozzarella cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
  7. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  8. Add cooked macaroni to the sauce and mix well.
  9. Transfer to a greased baking dish.
  10. Sprinkle breadcrumbs evenly over the top.
  11. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  12. Cool slightly before serving.
