These Homemade Pepperoni Pizza Rolls are soft, golden, and filled with gooey mozzarella, savory pepperoni, and rich pizza sauce. They’re an easy, crowd-pleasing appetizer or meal that’s perfect for parties, game days, or family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough, homemade or store-bought
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • For the garlic butter topping: 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Lightly flour a work surface and roll the pizza dough into a large rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
  5. Top with pepperoni slices and season with Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
  6. Roll the dough tightly into a log, starting from one long side, then pinch the seam closed.
  7. Place the log seam-side down and slice into 1-inch rolls.
  8. Arrange the rolls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  9. Mix the melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley, then brush over the tops of the rolls.
  10. Sprinkle each roll with grated Parmesan cheese.
  11. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  12. Cool for a few minutes and serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Add cooked Italian sausage, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, or olives for tasty variations.
  • Use cheddar, provolone, or an Italian cheese blend instead of mozzarella if desired.
  • For a spicy version, add crushed red pepper flakes to the filling.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
  • Reheat in a 350°F oven or air fryer for the crispiest texture.
