This Easy Pull Apart Pizza Bread combines soft bite-sized dough, melted mozzarella, pepperoni, Parmesan, and seasoned garlic butter in a fun, shareable appetizer. Serve it warm with marinara or pizza sauce for dipping.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated biscuit dough, about 16 ounces total, or 1 pound prepared pizza dough
  • 5 ounces pepperoni slices, cut into smaller pieces
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or basil, optional
  • 1 1/2 cups marinara or pizza sauce, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Generously grease a Bundt pan or similar baking dish.
  2. Cut the biscuit or pizza dough into small bite-sized pieces. Cut larger pepperoni slices into smaller pieces so they distribute evenly throughout the bread.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the dough pieces, pepperoni, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
  4. In a separate small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and oregano. Stir in the crushed red pepper flakes if using.
  5. Pour the seasoned garlic butter over the dough mixture and gently toss until the ingredients are evenly coated.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan, distributing the dough, cheese, and pepperoni evenly without packing the mixture down too firmly.
  7. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, until the top is deeply golden and the dough in the center is completely cooked. If the top browns too quickly, loosely cover the pan with foil and continue baking.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the pizza bread rest in the pan for 5 to 10 minutes.
  9. Carefully invert the bread onto a serving plate. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil and additional Parmesan if desired.
  10. Serve warm with marinara or pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Prepared pizza dough can be used instead of biscuit dough for a chewier, more traditional pizza-like texture.
  • A loaf pan, round cake pan, or casserole dish can be used instead of a Bundt pan, although the baking time may vary.
  • For a meat lovers’ variation, add fully cooked and crumbled Italian sausage or bacon.
  • For a meatless version, omit the pepperoni and add well-drained bell peppers, olives, mushrooms, or onions.
  • For extra-cheesy pizza bread, add more mozzarella or combine it with provolone, cheddar, or Monterey Jack.
  • For extra heat, add sliced jalapenos, additional crushed red pepper flakes, or spicy pepperoni.
  • Check the dough near the center before removing the bread from the oven. It should be baked and fluffy rather than wet or doughy.
  • Store cooled leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.
  • Reheat portions in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 5 to 10 minutes or use an air fryer for a few minutes.
