Easy candied pecans are sweet, crunchy, and warmly spiced, perfect for snacking or adding a delicious topping to salads and desserts.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  3. Stir in granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt until combined.
  4. Add pecans and stir until fully coated.
  5. Spread pecans evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 10–15 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool completely to harden.
  8. Break apart clusters before serving.

Notes

  • Add cayenne pepper for a sweet and spicy version.
