Ingredients

  • Cod fillets
  • Unsalted butter, melted
  • Garlic, minced
  • Fresh lemon juice
  • Lemon zest
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Paprika
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Olive oil
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.
  3. Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels.
  4. Arrange the cod in the prepared baking dish.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Brush or spoon the butter mixture evenly over the cod fillets.
  7. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fish.
  8. Cook until the cod flakes easily with a fork and is opaque throughout.
  9. Remove from the oven and spoon any remaining butter sauce over the fish.
