Ingredients
2 cups butter beans, cooked or canned and drained
1/4 cup tahini
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 cloves garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
2–4 tablespoons water (as needed)
1/4 teaspoon paprika or chili flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
Place the butter beans, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, salt, and cumin in a food processor.
Blend until smooth, adding water gradually until the desired creamy consistency is reached.
Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
Transfer to a serving bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
Sprinkle with paprika or chili flakes and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Serve with bread, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
Notes
Blend longer for an extra smooth texture.
Roasted garlic can be used for a deeper flavor.
