Banana Pudding Jars are creamy no-bake layered desserts filled with vanilla pudding, fresh bananas, whipped cream, and crunchy cookies. These individual treats are comforting, nostalgic, and perfect for parties, picnics, or easy make-ahead desserts.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 3 bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup vanilla wafer cookies
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Crushed cookies (optional)
  • Caramel drizzle (optional)
  • Banana slices (optional)
  • Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the cold milk and instant vanilla pudding mix until smooth and thickened.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  3. Fold half of the whipped cream into the pudding mixture to create a lighter texture.
  4. Place a layer of vanilla wafer cookies into the bottom of each jar.
  5. Add a layer of banana slices over the cookies.
  6. Spoon a layer of pudding mixture over the bananas.
  7. Repeat the layers until the jars are filled.
  8. Top with the remaining whipped cream and optional toppings.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • Use chocolate pudding for a richer flavor variation.
  • Graham crackers or shortbread cookies can replace vanilla wafers.
  • Add banana slices shortly before serving for the freshest appearance.
  • Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • The cookies soften over time, creating a cake-like texture.
