These Air Fryer Smiley Fries are perfectly golden and crispy on the outside with a soft, fluffy center. They’re a fun, family-friendly side dish or snack that’s quick to prepare and delicious with your favorite dipping sauces.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen smiley fries
  • Cooking spray (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste (optional)
  • Garlic powder (optional)
  • Paprika (optional)
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray if desired for extra crispiness.
  3. Arrange the frozen smiley fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping.
  4. Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping or shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
  5. Cook for an additional 1–2 minutes if you prefer extra crispy fries.
  6. Season immediately with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, or paprika if desired.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Cook the smiley fries directly from frozen for the crispiest results.
  • Avoid overcrowding the basket so the fries cook evenly.
  • Top with Parmesan cheese, Cajun seasoning, ranch seasoning, taco seasoning, or everything bagel seasoning for extra flavor.
  • Make loaded smiley fries with melted cheddar cheese, bacon bits, green onions, and sour cream.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in a 350°F (175°C) air fryer for 3–4 minutes until crispy. Avoid microwaving for the best texture.
