This Watermelon Granita Hydrator is a refreshing frozen treat made with sweet watermelon, fresh lime, and mint for a light and naturally hydrating dessert. It’s perfect for cooling off on hot days with minimal ingredients and maximum flavor.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 tsp lime zest (optional)
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 2 tbsp fresh mint leaves
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • Fresh mint sprigs and lime wedges, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Blend the watermelon until completely smooth.
  2. Add the lime juice, mint leaves, sea salt, and honey or maple syrup if using, then blend again until combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into a shallow freezer-safe dish.
  4. Freeze for 1 hour.
  5. Scrape the mixture with a fork to create icy crystals.
  6. Return the dish to the freezer and continue scraping every 30 minutes for 2 to 3 hours until light and fluffy.
  7. Spoon the granita into chilled serving glasses.
  8. Garnish with fresh mint sprigs and lime wedges if desired.
  9. Serve immediately.
