Ingredients

  • 2 cups marinara or pizza sauce
  • 8 ounces burrata cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 4 ounces pepperoni slices

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, plus more for greasing
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional Dippers:
  • Toasted baguette slices
  • Garlic bread
  • Breadsticks
  • Crackers
  • Pretzels
  • Fresh vegetables

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a small baking dish with olive oil.
  2. Spread the softened cream cheese evenly across the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. Spoon the marinara or pizza sauce evenly over the cream cheese.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan over the sauce.
  5. Tear the burrata into pieces and arrange it evenly over the cheeses.
  6. Scatter the pepperoni slices across the top.
  7. Sprinkle with the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes if using, salt, and black pepper.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbling, and the pepperoni is lightly crisp.
  9. Drizzle with olive oil and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  10. Serve immediately with toasted bread, crackers, breadsticks, pretzels, or fresh vegetables for dipping.

Notes

  • Fresh mozzarella can be substituted for burrata if needed.
  • For a vegetarian version, omit the pepperoni or replace it with sautéed mushrooms, olives, or roasted peppers.
  • Hot honey makes a delicious sweet and spicy finishing drizzle.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in a 350°F (175°C) oven or microwave until hot, adding a spoonful of marinara if needed to loosen the dip.
