Tangy BBQ sauce is a bold, smoky, and sweet-savory condiment made with simple pantry ingredients, perfect for grilling, dipping, or marinating.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and honey or maple syrup.
  2. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, mustard, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Mix until fully combined.
  4. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
  5. Reduce heat to low and cook for 10–15 minutes until thickened.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  7. Remove from heat and let cool before using.
