Taco Ring is a fun and crowd-pleasing dish featuring seasoned taco beef and melted cheddar cheese wrapped in golden, flaky crescent roll dough. Perfect for parties, game days, and family dinners, this shareable meal delivers classic taco flavors in every slice.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • ⅔ cup water
  • 2 cans (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • ¼ cup sliced black olives
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions
  • Sour cream, for serving
  • Salsa, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and fully cooked.
  3. Drain excess grease and stir in the taco seasoning and water.
  4. Simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened, then allow the mixture to cool slightly.
  5. Line a large baking sheet or pizza pan with parchment paper.
  6. Arrange the crescent dough triangles in a circle with the wide ends overlapping in the center and the pointed ends facing outward.
  7. Spoon the taco meat evenly around the ring over the wide portions of the dough.
  8. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the meat.
  9. Fold the pointed ends of the dough over the filling and tuck them underneath the inner edge to secure the ring.
  10. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown.
  11. Allow the Taco Ring to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  12. Garnish the center with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, black olives, and green onions.
  13. Serve with sour cream and salsa on the side.
