Ingredients
3 cups fresh or frozen peaches, sliced
2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
3/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter, melted
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, mix peaches, strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and cornstarch. Set aside.
Pour melted butter into a baking dish and spread evenly.
In another bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk to form a smooth batter.
Pour the batter over the melted butter without stirring.
Spoon the fruit mixture evenly over the batter without stirring.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until the top is golden and the filling is bubbling.
Let cool slightly before serving.
Serve warm.

Use frozen fruit without thawing, adding extra baking time if needed.
