This Strawberry Blueberry Smoothie combines sweet strawberries, juicy blueberries, banana, Greek yogurt, and milk for a thick and creamy drink. It is a quick, refreshing option for breakfast, a snack, or a cool summer drink.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 ripe banana, preferably frozen
  • 1/2 cup plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 3/4 cup milk or plant-based milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup, optional
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or ground flaxseed, optional
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes, optional

Instructions

  1. Add the milk to the blender first to help the ingredients blend smoothly.
  2. Add the Greek yogurt, strawberries, blueberries, and banana.
  3. Add honey or maple syrup for extra sweetness and chia seeds or ground flaxseed if using.
  4. Blend on high until smooth and creamy.
  5. Check the consistency. Add a splash of milk if the smoothie is too thick, or add ice or additional frozen berries for a thicker, colder smoothie.
  6. Blend again for 20–30 seconds, or until no pieces of fruit remain.
  7. Taste and adjust the sweetness or consistency as needed.
  8. Pour into a glass and serve immediately while cold and creamy.

Notes

  • Using frozen strawberries, blueberries, and banana creates an especially thick and frosty smoothie with less need for ice.
  • For extra protein, add a scoop of vanilla or unflavored protein powder and additional milk as needed.
  • Add one or two handfuls of baby spinach for a berry spinach smoothie.
  • Add about 1/4 cup rolled oats for a thicker smoothie. Blend the oats with the milk first for a smoother texture.
  • For a dairy-free version, use plant-based milk and dairy-free yogurt.
  • For a banana-free version, replace the banana with extra Greek yogurt, frozen strawberries, or a little avocado.
  • The smoothie is best served immediately but can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 24 hours. Shake, stir, or blend again before serving.
  • For longer storage, freeze the smoothie in ice cube trays and reblend the frozen cubes with a splash of milk.
  • Do not reheat the smoothie; serve it cold and refresh the texture with frozen berries or ice if needed.
