fresh pineapple chunks
soy sauce
honey or brown sugar
fresh ginger, grated
garlic, minced
sesame oil
cornstarch
water
green onions, sliced
sesame seeds
vegetable oil
salt
black pepper
Instructions
Slice the beef thinly against the grain and season lightly with salt and pepper.
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey or brown sugar, grated ginger, garlic, sesame oil, water, and cornstarch to create the sauce.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add the beef in a single layer and sear until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan, add pineapple chunks and cook briefly until they begin to caramelize.
Return the beef to the pan and pour in the prepared sauce.
Stir well and cook until the sauce thickens and coats the beef evenly.
Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, then serve hot.
Notes
Use chicken or shrimp instead of beef for variation.
Add bell peppers or snap peas for extra vegetables and color.
Canned pineapple can be used if fresh is unavailable.
Add chili flakes or sriracha for a spicy kick.
Serve over rice, noodles, or cauliflower rice.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
