Spicy Alfredo Sauce is a rich, creamy homemade sauce with buttery garlic, Parmesan cheese, and a bold kick from Cajun seasoning and red pepper flakes. Ready in just 15 minutes, it’s perfect for pasta, chicken, seafood, and vegetables.

Ingredients

  • Unsalted butter
  • Garlic, minced
  • Heavy cream
  • Cream cheese (optional, for extra richness)
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Cajun seasoning
  • Crushed red pepper flakes
  • Smoked paprika
  • Black pepper
  • Salt
  • Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and stir continuously.
  4. Add the cream cheese if using and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  5. Mix in the Cajun seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and a small pinch of salt.
  6. Gradually whisk in the freshly grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  7. Simmer gently for 3–5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  8. Taste and adjust the seasoning or spice level as desired.
  9. Toss immediately with cooked pasta or serve over chicken, shrimp, or vegetables.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

  • Freshly grated Parmesan melts more smoothly than pre-grated cheese.
  • Add cayenne pepper or chili crisp for extra heat.
  • Stir in sautéed mushrooms, spinach, or broccoli for a complete meal.
  • Reheat gently with a splash of cream or milk to restore a silky texture.
  • Freezing is not recommended because cream-based sauces may separate.
