A rich and buttery cheese toast topped with a creamy, garlicky cheese spread, baked until golden and bubbly with crispy edges and a soft center.

Ingredients

  • White bread or French bread
  • Unsalted butter (softened)
  • Mayonnaise
  • Cheddar cheese (finely shredded)
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix softened butter, mayonnaise, shredded cheddar cheese, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over each slice of bread, covering the edges.
  4. Place the slices on the prepared baking tray.
  5. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Switch to broil for 1–2 minutes until the top is golden and slightly crispy.
  7. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Add chili flakes or jalapeños for a spicy variation.
  • Mix in mozzarella for extra stretchiness.
  • Prepare the cheese spread ahead and refrigerate until ready to use.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
