These Shake Shack-style Crinkle Cut Fries are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned for a classic restaurant-inspired side dish. They’re quick to prepare in the air fryer and pair perfectly with burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, or your favorite dipping sauces.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen crinkle-cut fries
  • Cooking spray (optional)
  • Fine sea salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste (optional)
  • Garlic powder (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray if desired for extra crispiness.
  3. Arrange the frozen crinkle-cut fries in a single layer without overcrowding the basket.
  4. Air fry for 12–15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
  5. Cook for an additional 1–3 minutes if you prefer extra crispy fries.
  6. Season immediately with fine sea salt, black pepper, and garlic powder if using.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Cook the fries directly from frozen for the crispiest results.
  • Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure even browning.
  • Top with Parmesan cheese, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, ranch seasoning, or truffle salt for extra flavor.
  • Make loaded fries by adding cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, green onions, and burger sauce.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in a 350°F (175°C) air fryer for 3–5 minutes until crispy. Avoid microwaving for the best texture.
