Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and hull the strawberries, then mash or blend them into a smooth puree.
  2. In a clean, dry bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form.
