Roasted Brussels Sprouts are tender, caramelized vegetables with crispy edges, transformed by roasting to bring out natural sweetness and rich, nutty flavors in a simple, healthy side dish.

Ingredients

1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
3 tablespoons olive oil
Salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Optional: 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar or lemon juice for finishing
Optional: grated Parmesan cheese or crushed red pepper flakes for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
    Toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper in a large bowl until evenly coated.
    Spread sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer.
    Roast for 20-25 minutes, shaking or stirring halfway through, until golden brown and crispy on edges.
    Optional: drizzle with balsamic vinegar or lemon juice before serving.
    Garnish with Parmesan cheese or red pepper flakes if desired.
    Serve warm.
