Simple roasted asparagus with tender stalks and lightly crispy, caramelized tips, finished with garlic and a touch of lemon. A quick and elegant side dish for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. Wash asparagus and trim the tough ends.
  3. Place asparagus in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
  5. Season with salt, black pepper, and minced garlic.
  6. Roast for 10–15 minutes until tender with slightly crispy tips.
  7. Remove from oven and drizzle with lemon juice.
  8. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese if desired and serve immediately.
