Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add shrimp and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, stirring to combine.
  6. Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes to slightly reduce.
  7. Add red pepper flakes if using and adjust seasoning as needed.
  8. Remove from heat and garnish with parsley and parmesan cheese.
  9. Serve immediately with pasta, rice, or bread.

Notes

  • Substitute white wine for part of the broth for deeper flavor.
  • Serve over linguine or spaghetti for a classic pairing.
  • Add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for variation.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Reheat gently to avoid overcooking the shrimp.
