A creamy, refreshing pineapple smoothie bursting with bright tropical flavor. Frozen pineapple and banana create a thick texture while Greek yogurt and orange juice make it smooth, tangy, and satisfying.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 frozen banana
  • ½ cup plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
  • ¾ cup orange juice
  • ½ cup milk or coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup, optional
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, optional
  • ½ cup ice cubes, optional

Instructions

  1. Add the orange juice and milk to a blender first to help the frozen ingredients blend easily.
  2. Add the Greek yogurt, frozen banana, and frozen pineapple chunks.
  3. Add honey or maple syrup if additional sweetness is desired.
  4. Add the optional vanilla extract for a slightly richer flavor.
  5. Blend on high until completely smooth and creamy.
  6. If the smoothie is too thick, add a small splash of orange juice or milk and blend again.
  7. For a thicker or colder smoothie, add ice cubes or additional frozen pineapple and blend until smooth.
  8. Pour into glasses and serve immediately while cold and creamy.

Notes

  • Frozen fruit creates a thick, cold smoothie without requiring much ice.
  • For a pineapple coconut smoothie, use coconut milk instead of regular milk.
  • For a pineapple mango smoothie, replace some of the pineapple with frozen mango.
  • Frozen strawberries can be added for a strawberry pineapple variation.
  • Add a handful of baby spinach for a green pineapple smoothie.
  • For additional protein, add protein powder or extra Greek yogurt and adjust the liquid as needed.
  • Fresh pineapple can be used, but frozen banana and ice help maintain a thick, cold texture.
  • For a banana-free version, use extra Greek yogurt, frozen mango, avocado, or additional frozen pineapple.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours and shake or stir well before drinking.
  • Leftover smoothie can be frozen in ice cube trays and blended later with a little milk or juice.
