  • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup pesto sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Pinch of salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  4. Spread pesto sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly on top, followed by parmesan cheese.
  6. Add cherry tomatoes and red onion slices.
  7. Drizzle lightly with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.
  8. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then slice and serve.

Notes

  • Avoid overloading with pesto to prevent a soggy crust.
  • Add grilled chicken or vegetables for extra toppings.
  • Use a pizza stone for a crispier crust.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the oven or skillet for best texture.
