Pepperoni Pierogy Pizza Casserole is a fun comfort food mashup featuring cheesy potato pierogies layered with pizza sauce, pepperoni, and plenty of melted cheese. It’s an easy, hearty casserole that’s perfect for weeknight dinners, game days, or potlucks.

Ingredients

  • 1 (32 oz) package frozen cheddar or potato pierogies
  • 2 cups pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 4 oz sliced pepperoni
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Arrange half of the frozen pierogies in an even layer in the baking dish.
  3. Spread half of the pizza sauce over the pierogies.
  4. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella, provolone, and Parmesan cheeses over the sauce.
  5. Layer half of the pepperoni slices over the cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining pierogies, pizza sauce, cheeses, and pepperoni.
  7. Sprinkle the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and crushed red pepper flakes over the top.
  8. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly, lightly browned, and the pierogies are tender.
  10. Let the casserole rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
  11. Garnish with chopped fresh basil or parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Add cooked Italian sausage, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, olives, or spinach for a loaded pizza version.
  • Use Alfredo sauce instead of pizza sauce for a creamy white pizza variation.
  • Drizzle with hot honey after baking for a sweet and spicy finish.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
  • Frozen pierogies can be used directly without thawing.
