A Peach Moscow Mule is a refreshing summer cocktail combining juicy peach, vodka, fresh lime juice, and spicy ginger beer. Served over plenty of ice, it balances fruity sweetness with bright citrus and sparkling ginger flavor.

Ingredients

  • Vodka
  • Ripe peach, diced
  • Fresh lime juice
  • Ginger beer, chilled
  • Peach nectar or peach purée, optional
  • Simple syrup or honey, optional
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh peach slices, for garnish
  • Lime wedges or wheels, for garnish
  • Fresh mint, optional

Instructions

  1. Place the diced ripe peach in the bottom of a copper mug or sturdy cocktail glass.
  2. Gently muddle the peach until it releases plenty of juice and becomes slightly pulpy.
  3. Add the fresh lime juice. If the peach is not particularly sweet, add a small amount of simple syrup or honey.
  4. Pour in the vodka and stir briefly to combine.
  5. Fill the mug generously with ice.
  6. Slowly pour the chilled ginger beer over the ice until the mug is nearly full.
  7. Gently stir to combine the peach, lime, vodka, and ginger beer without losing too much carbonation.
  8. Taste and adjust as desired with additional lime juice, peach nectar, or ginger beer.
  9. Garnish with a fresh peach slice and lime wedge or wheel. Add fresh mint, if desired.
  10. Serve immediately while icy cold and sparkling.

Notes

  • For a frozen Peach Moscow Mule, blend frozen peaches with vodka, lime juice, and ice until slushy, then add ginger beer after blending.
  • Thawed frozen peaches or peach nectar can be used when fresh peaches are unavailable.
  • For a spicy variation, muddle a thin slice of jalapeño with the peach.
  • Fresh basil or mint can be added for an herbal variation.
  • For an alcohol-free Peach Mule, omit the vodka and use additional ginger beer or sparkling water.
  • For entertaining, combine the peach, lime juice, and vodka several hours ahead and refrigerate. Add ice and ginger beer immediately before serving.
  • A copper mug provides the traditional Moscow Mule presentation, but any sturdy cocktail glass works well.
  • Serve immediately after adding ginger beer and ice for the best carbonation and flavor.
