Peach Iced Tea is a refreshing homemade beverage that combines smooth black tea with the natural sweetness of ripe peaches. Perfect for warm days, this fruity iced tea is easy to make and wonderfully refreshing.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 black tea bags
  • 2 ripe peaches, sliced
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons honey or sugar, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Peach slices and fresh mint for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan.
  2. Remove from the heat and add the tea bags.
  3. Steep for 5 minutes, then remove the tea bags.
  4. Add the sliced peaches to the warm tea and let them steep for 20 to 30 minutes.
  5. Strain out the peaches and stir in the honey or sugar until dissolved.
  6. Add the lemon juice and mix well.
  7. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
  8. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over the ice.
  9. Garnish with peach slices and fresh mint if desired.
  10. Serve cold.

Notes

  • Use green tea instead of black tea for a lighter flavor.
  • Add sparkling water before serving for a bubbly variation.
  • Steep strawberries or raspberries with the peaches for a berry twist.
  • Add fresh mint leaves while cooling for extra freshness.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Add ice only when serving to prevent dilution.
