Milk
Heavy cream
Granulated sugar
Brown sugar
Vanilla extract
Ground cinnamon
Nutmeg
Butter

Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a baking dish.
Arrange bread cubes evenly in the dish and scatter peaches over the top.
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
Pour the custard mixture evenly over the bread and peaches, pressing gently so the bread absorbs the liquid.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Remove from the refrigerator and let sit at room temperature for 15 minutes.
Dot the top with small pieces of butter.
Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set.
Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Use fresh, canned, or frozen peaches (thawed and drained) depending on availability.
Brioche, challah, or French bread work best for texture and flavor.
Add chopped pecans or walnuts for extra crunch.
Top with powdered sugar, maple syrup, or whipped cream before serving.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheat in the microwave or oven until warmed through.
