Oven Baked Ground Chicken Cutlets are a lighter alternative to traditional fried cutlets, made with seasoned ground chicken, breadcrumbs, and Parmesan cheese. Baked until golden and tender, they are perfect for weeknight dinners, sandwiches, meal prep, or serving alongside your favorite sides.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Extra Parmesan cheese (optional topping)
  • Fresh parsley (optional topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan cheese, garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and olive oil.
  4. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  5. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions.
  6. Shape each portion into a thin oval or round cutlet about 1/2 inch thick.
  7. Place the cutlets on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until the cutlets are golden and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  9. For extra browning, broil for 1 to 2 minutes at the end of cooking.
  10. Remove from the oven and allow the cutlets to rest for 3 to 5 minutes.
  11. Garnish with additional Parmesan cheese and parsley if desired.
  12. Serve warm.
