One Pan Caprese Pesto Orzo Bake is a comforting, cheesy dish with tender orzo, juicy tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and vibrant pesto. This easy one-pan meal delivers fresh Italian-inspired flavors with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

  • orzo pasta
  • cherry tomatoes
  • garlic
  • olive oil
  • vegetable or chicken broth
  • pesto sauce
  • mozzarella cheese
  • parmesan cheese
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • fresh basil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe pan over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add cherry tomatoes and cook until softened and releasing juices.
  4. Stir in orzo, broth, and pesto sauce until well combined.
  5. Bring to a gentle simmer, then remove from heat.
  6. Mix in half of the mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  7. Top with remaining mozzarella and parmesan.
  8. Bake for 15–20 minutes until orzo is tender and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil and serve warm.
