Lebanese Tahini Sauce is a creamy and tangy Middle Eastern sauce made with tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and water blended into a smooth consistency. This versatile sauce is perfect for shawarma, falafel, grilled meats, vegetables, and salads.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup cold water
  • Optional: fresh parsley
  • Optional: cumin
  • Optional: cayenne pepper
  • Optional: olive oil drizzle

Instructions

  1. Place the tahini in a medium bowl.
  2. Add the lemon juice, garlic, and salt.
  3. Whisk the mixture until thick and slightly pale.
  4. Gradually add the cold water a little at a time while whisking continuously.
  5. Continue whisking until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  6. Adjust the consistency by adding more water if needed.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning if desired.
  8. Transfer the sauce to a serving bowl.
  9. Garnish with parsley or an olive oil drizzle if desired.
  10. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.
