A calming and aromatic lavender tea latte made with delicate floral notes, creamy milk, and a touch of sweetness. Perfect for a cozy, soothing drink any time of day.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon dried culinary lavender
  • 1 tea bag black or herbal tea
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 12 teaspoons honey or sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a gentle boil, then remove from heat.
  2. Add dried lavender and tea, and let steep for 5–7 minutes.
  3. Strain the tea into a mug, removing lavender and tea leaves or bag.
  4. Stir in honey or sugar while the tea is still warm.
  5. In a small saucepan, heat the milk until hot but not boiling.
  6. Froth the milk using a frother, whisk, or by shaking in a jar.
  7. Pour the warm milk over the brewed tea and stir gently.
  8. Add vanilla extract if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use culinary-grade lavender to ensure safe consumption.
  • Avoid over-steeping to prevent a bitter or soapy flavor.
  • Use plant-based milk for a dairy-free option.
  • For an iced version, cool the tea and serve over ice with cold milk.
  • Honey pairs especially well with lavender flavor.
