Italian Herb Shrimp is a quick and flavorful dish featuring tender shrimp sautéed in olive oil with garlic, Italian herbs, and a splash of lemon. Perfect as a main course or appetizer, it’s ready in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  4. Remove from heat and drizzle with lemon juice.
  5. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and optional red pepper flakes or Parmesan before serving.

Notes

  • Use thawed and patted-dry frozen shrimp for convenience.
  • Do not overcook shrimp—remove from heat once they turn pink and curl.
  • Fresh herbs can be used in place of dried; triple the amount for best flavor.
  • Serve over pasta, rice, salad, or with crusty bread.
