Honey Sriracha Chicken Wings are crispy, juicy wings coated in a sweet, spicy, and savory glaze that caramelizes beautifully. They’re perfect for game day, parties, or an easy family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, separated into flats and drumettes
  • 1 tbsp baking powder (for baked wings)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup sriracha sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or lime juice
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven, air fryer, or prepare oil for frying. Pat the chicken wings completely dry.
  2. Toss the wings with the baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  3. Bake, air fry, or deep fry the wings until they are golden brown, crispy, and fully cooked, about 35 minutes if baking.
  4. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  5. Stir in the garlic, honey, sriracha, soy sauce, and rice vinegar until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened.
  6. Remove the sauce from the heat once it becomes glossy.
  7. Toss the hot cooked wings in the honey sriracha sauce until evenly coated.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
  9. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

  • Add extra sriracha or crushed red pepper flakes for more heat.
  • Use smoked paprika for a smoky flavor.
  • Add a splash of fresh orange juice for a citrus twist.
  • Sprinkle with chopped cilantro before serving for added freshness.
  • Use gluten-free soy sauce or tamari for a gluten-free option.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Reheat in the oven or air fryer to restore crispiness.
