This Grilled Peanut Butter Sandwich with Banana and Strawberries is a delightful twist on the classic PB&J. The creamy peanut butter melts perfectly between slices of toasted bread, complemented by the natural sweetness of ripe bananas and strawberries. A drizzle of honey adds a touch of sweetness, making this sandwich a perfect choice for breakfast, brunch, or a satisfying snack.

Ingredients

  1. 4 slices of sandwich bread
    4 tablespoons peanut butter
    1 banana, sliced
    56 large strawberries, sliced
    2 tablespoons honey
    Butter or margarine for grilling

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients: Slice the banana and strawberries.

  1. Assemble the Sandwiches: Spread 1 tablespoon of peanut butter on each slice of bread. Layer the banana slices on two of the bread slices and the strawberry slices on the other two. Drizzle with honey. Place the slices together to form two sandwiches.
  2. Grill the Sandwiches: Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of butter or margarine. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and grill for 2–3 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the peanut butter is melted.
  3. Serve: Remove from the skillet, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  • If you prefer a crunchy texture, use crunchy peanut butter instead of creamy.
  • For a sweeter flavor, drizzle extra honey or maple syrup inside the sandwich.
  • Feel free to add chocolate chips for a sweet twist or switch the peanut butter for almond or cashew butter for a different flavor profile.
  • To make this sandwich vegan, use plant-based butter and maple syrup instead of honey, and choose vegan-friendly bread.
