Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness for even cooking.
In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Rub the seasoning mixture over both sides of the chicken.
Place the chicken on the grill and cook for 5 to 7 minutes per side.
During the last few minutes, brush barbecue sauce over the chicken and allow it to caramelize.
Flip and brush more sauce on the other side, cooking until fully done.
Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serve warm with extra barbecue sauce if desired.
Notes
Marinate the chicken in barbecue sauce for a few hours for deeper flavor.
Use different barbecue sauces like honey, spicy, or smoky for variation.
Add a dry rub with brown sugar and chili powder for extra depth.
Let the chicken rest after grilling to retain juices.
Reheat with extra sauce to keep the chicken moist.
