These Godiva chocolate brownies are rich, intensely chocolatey, and perfectly fudgy with a delicate crisp top. Made with premium dark chocolate, they’re an indulgent dessert for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces Godiva dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon espresso powder (optional)
  • 1/2 cup Godiva chocolate chunks or chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the Godiva dark chocolate and butter together until smooth, then let the mixture cool slightly.
  3. Whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Stir the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until smooth.
  5. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and espresso powder, then gently fold the dry ingredients into the batter.
  6. Fold in the Godiva chocolate chunks and the chopped walnuts or pecans, if using.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Cool the brownies completely before slicing into 16 squares.

Notes

  • Substitute another high-quality dark chocolate if Godiva is unavailable.
  • Do not overbake to maintain a fudgy texture.
  • Add white chocolate chips, caramel swirls, or mini marshmallows for fun variations.
  • Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top after baking to enhance the chocolate flavor.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days, refrigerate for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
