Ingredients
12 ounces pasta (spaghetti or linguine)
2 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon gochujang
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup pasta cooking water (reserved)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon honey or sugar
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
2 green onions, sliced
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Instructions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in gochujang, soy sauce, and honey, mixing well.
Pour in heavy cream and stir until smooth and slightly thickened.
Add cooked pasta and toss to coat in the sauce.
Gradually add reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
Stir in Parmesan cheese and season with salt and black pepper.
Toss until creamy and well combined.
Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, then serve warm.
Notes
Adjust gochujang to control spice level.
Add chicken, shrimp, bacon, or tofu for extra protein.
Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.
Add vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or broccoli.
Reheat with a splash of water or cream to maintain texture.
