A warm and cozy Gingerbread Latte made with espresso, creamy milk, molasses, and aromatic holiday spices. This café-style beverage captures the comforting flavor of gingerbread cookies in every sip.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 to 2 shots espresso or ½ cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream for topping (optional)
  • Ground cinnamon or gingerbread cookie crumbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the milk, molasses, brown sugar, ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  2. Heat over medium heat, whisking frequently until the mixture is hot and the sugar has dissolved.
  3. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Froth the milk mixture using a milk frother, whisk, or blender if desired.
  5. Pour the espresso or strong brewed coffee into a large mug.
  6. Slowly add the warm gingerbread milk mixture.
  7. Stir gently to combine.
  8. Top with whipped cream if desired.
  9. Garnish with ground cinnamon or gingerbread cookie crumbs.
  10. Serve immediately while hot.
