Ginger Milk Pudding is a silky and comforting dessert made with warm milk, fresh ginger juice, and a touch of sweetness. This delicate pudding combines creamy richness with gentle ginger warmth for a soothing treat that can be enjoyed warm or chilled.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger juice
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Peel and finely grate fresh ginger, then squeeze the grated ginger through a fine sieve or cheesecloth to extract the juice.
  2. Divide the fresh ginger juice evenly between serving bowls or cups.
  3. In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
  4. Stir in the sugar and pinch of salt until dissolved completely.
  5. Remove the milk from heat and allow it to cool slightly for about 1 minute.
  6. Pour the warm milk quickly into the bowls containing the ginger juice.
  7. Do not stir after pouring. Let the mixture rest undisturbed for about 10 to 15 minutes.
  8. The pudding will gently set into a soft and silky consistency.
  9. Serve warm or chilled as desired.

Notes

  • Fresh mature ginger works best for flavor and proper setting.
  • Honey can replace sugar for a different sweetness profile.
  • Coconut milk may be used for a dairy-free variation.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon or nutmeg on top before serving for extra warmth.
  • Vanilla extract adds a sweeter aroma.
  • Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Avoid overheating when reheating to preserve the delicate texture.
