Garlic Butter Lobster Tails are a luxurious seafood dish featuring tender lobster meat brushed with a rich garlic butter sauce and broiled to perfection. Elegant yet simple to prepare, they make an impressive meal for holidays, special occasions, or date nights at home.

Ingredients

  • 4 lobster tails
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven broiler to high and position the rack about 6 inches from the heat source.
  2. Using kitchen shears, cut down the center of the top shell of each lobster tail.
  3. Gently loosen the lobster meat from the shell while keeping it attached at the base.
  4. Lift the meat and rest it on top of the shell for presentation.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the lobster meat.
  7. Arrange the lobster tails on a baking sheet.
  8. Broil for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and cooked through.
  9. Brush with additional garlic butter during the final few minutes if desired.
  10. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley.
  11. Serve immediately with lemon wedges and any remaining garlic butter.

Notes

  • Thaw frozen lobster tails completely before cooking.
  • Do not overcook, as lobster can become tough and rubbery.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a spicy variation.
  • Grill the lobster tails instead of broiling for a smoky flavor.
  • Serve with roasted vegetables, rice pilaf, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
