French Dip Sliders are mini sandwiches filled with roast beef and melted cheese on soft rolls, brushed with seasoned butter and baked to perfection. Served with warm au jus for dipping, they’re ideal for parties, game days, or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

  • 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 lb sliced roast beef (deli or leftover)
  • 68 slices provolone or Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Layer roast beef evenly over the bottom buns, followed by slices of cheese.
  4. Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese layer.
  5. In a small saucepan, melt butter and stir in garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, thyme (or Italian seasoning), salt, and pepper. Brush the tops of the sliders generously with the butter mixture.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 5–7 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. While baking, prepare au jus: In a saucepan, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce (if using), and a pinch of herbs. Heat over medium until warm.
  8. Slice the sliders with a serrated knife and serve immediately with warm au jus for dipping.

Notes

  • Cheese between meat and bread helps prevent sogginess.
  • Use a foil baking tray for easy cleanup.
  • Don’t skip the au jus — it adds rich flavor.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat in the oven to maintain texture.
  • Customize with sautéed onions, mushrooms, or your favorite cheese.
