Ingredients

  • 8 fresh figs, sliced
  • 4 slices rustic sourdough bread
  • 4 ounces goat cheese, softened
  • 1 cup arugula
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts, toasted
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Lightly toast the sourdough bread if desired.
  2. Spread the softened goat cheese evenly over one side of each bread slice.
  3. Arrange the sliced figs on two of the bread slices.
  4. Drizzle the figs lightly with honey.
  5. Sprinkle the toasted walnuts over the figs.
  6. Top with arugula.

  8. Drizzle lightly with olive oil.
  9. Place the remaining bread slices on top.
  10. Slice in half and serve immediately.
