Everyday Croissant Sandwiches are simple, versatile sandwiches made with buttery croissants, deli meat, cheese, fresh vegetables, and flavorful spreads. Perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or picnics, they come together in minutes and are easy to customize.

Ingredients

  • 4 large croissants, sliced in half
  • 8 ounces sliced turkey, ham, roast beef, or chicken
  • 4 slices Swiss, cheddar, provolone, or mozzarella cheese
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 1/4 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Pickle slices (optional)
  • Avocado slices (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice the croissants in half horizontally.
  2. Lightly toast the croissants if desired for a warm, crisp texture.
  3. Spread the mayonnaise on one half of each croissant and the Dijon mustard on the other.
  4. Layer the lettuce on the bottom half of each croissant.
  5. Add the sliced deli meat followed by the cheese.
  6. Top with the tomato, red onion, pickle slices, and avocado if using.
  7. Season the vegetables with salt and black pepper.
  8. Close each sandwich with the top half of the croissant and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use fresh bakery-style butter croissants for the best flavor and texture.
  • Swap the deli meat with grilled chicken, tuna salad, chicken salad, egg salad, or roasted vegetables.
  • Try pesto, garlic aioli, hummus, honey mustard, or cream cheese instead of mayonnaise.
  • Store the fillings separately in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and assemble just before serving.
  • Reheat toasted sandwiches in a 325°F (165°C) oven or air fryer for 3–5 minutes.
